The International Junior Youth Hockey League is gearing up for their inaugural 2008-2009 season with full steam ahead. The Tier 1 AAA league was designed to offer less travel for its member teams and has achieved that goal.The whole league is based in Massachusetts with member teams in Revere the North Shore Raiders. In Tewksbury where the New England Moose will call home. The Boston Junior Blackhawks will be based in Wilmington.The Dracut based PHD Selects and New England Bulldogs will call home, and the New England Predators will skate out of Haverhill. This tight shot group of teams area wise will afford the player the least amount of travel for any league around. Also it is the only known league that will go from Mites to Junior teams inclusive. The league will feature 15 minute periods with slap shots and checking at all levels. From Pee Wee Major up they will use a 2 referee 1 linesmen system for the league games. All and all the league is excited about the upcoming season and looks forward to a September start.
